Vice President of Finance
Mr. Tonokawa manages all areas of finance operations at SKAI Ventures. He was employed at Ernst & Young LLP, a national accounting firm, for 10 years, where he reached the level of Senior Manager. Mr. Tonokawa subsequently served for 10 years as the Vice President of Finance at Schuler Homes, Inc., a publicly traded homebuilding company,where he was responsible for finance, risk management and regulatory reporting. During his tenure at Schuler, the Company grew from revenue of $79 million to $1.3 billion, and was eventually acquired by D.R. Horton for $1.8 billion. Mr. Tonokawa was involved in equity and debt financing at Schuler Homes, Inc. which totaled over $600 million. Mr. Tonokawa received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Accounting from the University of Hawaii.
